Christmas at the Sharp End 2018. 10:46 - Dec 26 with 523 viewsBlueBadger

Just for once, a pretty much non-heartbreaking Christmas Day on ITU yesterday.
Two of our 'long termers' started waking up a bit, opening their eyes, following commands and engaging with their families a bit - there's a long way for them to go, but this a an encouraging step. Another, desperately sick individual got the specialist bed in Another Hospital that they needed a mere 90 minutes after the initial call was made by our registrar. Makes a nice change from some of the family tragedies I've witnessed there over the last few years.
I've just got Saturday and Sunday to do now and I'm essentially off until Jan 4th's night shift, roll on 2019!

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
