Patience and realism needed 07:52 - Aug 15 with 414 viewsBlue_Heath

To start off with I was as fed up with the result last night as the next person, really annoyed in fact.

However, we have 9 new players who are still learning on top of a team that has to be de-micked and de-valued in terms of net worth and experience.

In the first half it sounded good what we were trying to do and for a while we took the game to them.

I said when Mick left it would get worse before it gets better. I predict a low finish this year, some more squad tinkering in January and a few amendments in the summer.

It will be 2-4 years before we see if this plan will work but in the meantime let's get behind the boys and enjoy the fact we are at least trying to play football again.

'Safe' Mick did a good job initially but another five years of that would have killed off a future generational fan base nevermind alienate many of the existing ones.

Yes we have spent a lot but not in terms of a net spend and the money spent in this league is crazy now. We must have also made huge savings on wages? Realistically we are a bottom half side in terms of this.

On paper the two league games played looked easy but don't forget promoted teams often start well and we played an Exeter team top of their league. I cannot see us getting much out of the next three games either.

I predict we'll go into the Naaridge game bottom of the league without a win and will finally beat the dirty yellas.
