We are in process of ditching our old legacy systems that we've had for eons and have been moving over to the snazzy windows based system that our new(ish) parent company use.

Some of our clients still input work into the old system and we [including me] have to move it manually into the new system [that is send it electronically then tidy it up].

On arrival at work 05:30 this morning discovered that it had gone down @ 04:00. It briefly sparked into life and I go about 30% my work over then it crashed again. It is still down and I can not go home until it comes back to life and I have checked that all is well with the logistical plan for tomorrow.

If this goes past 20:00 I have permission to book into a hotel, have a meal and buy some new shreddies, shirt & smellies for the morning.

On the other hand one of my colleagues had an early finish to get something done and has now been sat on a stationary M26 for a few hours.

Boring, but true.
