Anyone noticed how they upped their game on kits after we left them? Some of their strips have been fantastic the last couple of seasons. Even in the Championship with Leeds and Leicester they have done well. Not saying we should go back but it’s good to see more less generic strips again, one of the joys of the late 80’s to early 2000’s was some of the cool bespoke designs and monstrosities clubs would adopt. The bigger the club, the more attention your kit gets. Accrington Stanley are the only L1 club with Adidas and theirs is a thoroughly boring template.
Maybe if we'd stuck with them we might have had a better kit in the Champ but I don't think anyone out there is doing what Umbro does these days. |  | | |
