I got given a few shares many moons ago when a company demutualised. Time has come to cash them in. No idea how to go about it. Where better to go than the wiki of the football world that is TWTD!
I’d probably use a reputable brokerage like Hargreaves Lansdown. I have a few shares and when the minuscule dividends are paid there’s an option to sell through Equiniti.

You should have details provided at the time of which broker is holding them for you. They would be the ones to go to with instructions to sell, or to transfer to some other broker of your choice.
If you can find no such details you will need to contact the company in question I guess.
If you have a Stocks and Shares ISA you can always see if the ISA provider is interested in your shares and then sell them into your fund. May save on dealing charges and also be tax efficient now that the Capital Gains Tax allowance is only £6,000.
