Not playing today. They will have played 3 games less than us. Fixture congestion coming up for them?

They are playing on Monday.

But they don’t appear to be keen to rearrange their matches.

It’s much better to get the fixtures played for that very reason. When the Plymouth game came up there was some debate about playing it if we’d have had enough call ups. Regardless, I’m glad we got the fixture out of the way, even if we did lose.

If you have games in hand, it’s rare that you win them all and if you do the congestion can impact on other games.

In addition, for me there’s a sort of rhythm in playing games for players and supporters and I’m not sure breaking that in any circumstance is helpful - unless you have a huge injury list I suppose.

Don't worry about them. We've 4 league games remaining in October. All winnable. By the end of those we'll have played 17 games, more than a 3rd of the season complete, and hopefully averaging well over 2 points a game.

Thanks to climate change, we won’t have to worry about Portsmouth too much longer as it’s sinking into the sea and that’s the best place for it if you ask me.
