The players have changed, the same problem hasn't - yet... 22:31 - Aug 17 with 376 viewsmattyhollandsirish

We are still no threat going forward. Yes, shocking goals to concede tonight, but generally we dealt with the long throw and Burgess did help.

The problem remains that we do not create anywhere near enough chances. That was Lambert's main problem and Cook thus far hasn't managed to change things with either the team he inherited or with the new guys he's purchased. There's a few positive signs and on paper, our individuals look good, so hopefully things will click, but if you don't create a sufficient number of chances, your always liable to lose.

Second half was awful and we all probably knew once we went 2-1 down, that was it. We had that confirmed when Jackson and Barry came on as wasn't the kind of game for them and not sure either of them touched the ball.

The problem with 4 2 3 1 is that there can be a huge gap between defence and attack that makes it ineffective.

The formation needs excellent coaching in order to work effectively.

Signs are that we don't have the required level of coaches in the back room team...

Poll: Would Lambert have acheived better results than Cook if given the same resources

It's a valid concern as others have mentioned on here tonight also. The coaching set up looks very amateurish compared to other areas of the club.

Agree our formation needs serious, extensive learning as at present it's not really working. Fraser seems wasted out wide and Piggot was essentially the 10, sitting deeper than Bonne and he's meant to be our main striker you would assume.
