RIP Tom O'Connor 12:59 - Jul 18 with 1025 viewsThe_Flashing_Smile

Classic old school entertainer. Not many of them left now.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I was sad to read this too. My old boy was a fan of his, they were off similar vintage.

Old school entertainers, surely by definition they will always endure though, every generation will move into the space vacated by the prior one.

Trailing vapour since 1999.

Very sad news. Always liked the man. Used to love watching Cross Wits every weekday lunchtime at my Nana's flat when worked very nearby. RIP Tom.

I’ve just read that he won opportunity knocks three times.

There seems a flaw in the format there.

He always came across as a pretty genuine, likeable guy.

Stewart Lee's mum saw him on a cruise ship once. She thought he was very funny, and wished Stewart could tell proper jokes like he did.

Saw him do a stint at an awards dinner back in the ‘90s. He had people literally crying with laughter without swearing or being blue. A proper old school comic. RIP Tom

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.
