I can't believe these were the actual tactics. I'm hoping the players panicked at the closing down and hoofed it away rather than it being an actual masterplan from Lambert.

Usually that's what I see, but tonight it looked so forced the instant the ball was at our feet. It went as far in the air as it did forward a lot of the time. From defence, midfield and goalkeeper.

We never bothered to slow down and think about it. We played into their hands playing frantic, ugly football.

It was bizarre.
