Interested to know what people thought of the 4-4-2 yesterday?
Thought it really worked going forward early doors but felt we were a bit overrun by Burton's midfield until we switched to the 4-2-3-1.

We were far more comfortable after the change. Burton barely had a sniff thereafter, but were a threat beforehand. Possession shifted noticeably too. [Post edited 4 Aug 2019 11:19]

Agree with that, I thought Judge was a class above everyone when he came on, not long enough to be a man of the match candidate but the game changed after he - and then Huws - came on. Would be surprised if we don't start with essentially the same line-up but with Judge for Jackson and Chambers for Woolfenden or Wilson next week. |  | | |

Looked good when we were on the front foot. Unfortunately after the goal we dropped off a few % and it looked weak and we surrendered possession.
Jackson needs to do more in a 442. Suspect we will end up playing a formation simply to accommodate as many of our better players as possible at one time. Bit tail wagging dog. |  | | |
