It may well take years to happen and I am not usually one for schadenfreude, but when the reckoning comes for the people who have overseen this it will be harsh, savage and devastating and I absolutely cannot wait.

Good for exports.

We will become the world leader in Wiff-Waff bats, exporting them to all corners of the British Empire.

Rule Britannia.

Yes, it needs to be more optimistic about its value. That'll sort it.

Exports are increasing because of the lower pound all good news for the economy and jobs.

The reason why are exports have been low is biggest the value of the pound was too high

And imports are more expensive. And we're a net importer as a country.

I don’t think BJ is seriously planning to leave with no deal.

He couldn’t get this through Parliament because it’s already been blocked several times. If he tables it, and he loses, there is likely to be a vote of no confidence in him and a GE.

The current numbers just don’t work for a no deal.

He is preparing for an election which he'll stand on a No Deal ticket and will beat Corbyn and any Remain Alliance - then it will go through parliament

He won't beat them with enough of a majority to get it through, the numbers aren't there.

There's also the issue that there's not enough time for him to try for a deal, try to get no deal through (and fail) and to then hold a GE before 31st of October. That will mean another extension will be needed and that will be a key promise broken by Boris. That will lead to the Brexit Party doing serious damage to the Tories in any GE.

...and because we don't produce anything, really.

And we'll produce even less when manufacturers move abroad where they don't have to pay tariffs, indulge in additional red tape moving goods across borders and don't have to pay over the odds for imported parts because the pound is weak.

My main frustration is that some people are still convinced that Brexit and especially a No Deal Brexit will give us the certainty that will put an end to the lack of confidence in business, the markets and even politically.

Ummm no. It's only taking us to the next level of confusion and the next 4-5 years of uncertainty.

They were talking about farmers on Radio 2 over lunch time, one on there saying how No Deal will be great as they can put tarriffs on imports so UK farmers can produce their food at what it costs them and not be undercut by things that are out of season elsewhere.

Screw the rest of us who are going to see food prices go through the roof, as long as a farmer can make a profit rather than rely on a subsidy all is ok

I'm not sure they will. They've invested a lot of time and money into trying to establish themselves and if we don't leave on the 31st of October, which looks nigh on impossible, they will want to push themselves as the party that will deliver Brexit.

We're well up the creek whatever happens. Seems like there aren't any majority blocs either in parliament or the population that are going to be happy with however this ends... It's very, very difficult to see how the country/parliament comes together to support any decision at this point.

Still it was good for a few laughs on the way I guess.

But isn't No deal the default at the moment so he wouldn't have to get anything through parliament - no deal would have to be actively stopped

Chances are good that it would be stopped, though (or at least, parliament will vote to force the govt. to ask for another extension, or something similar) - hasn't Bercow already said that he'd be amenable to using whatever mechanisms necessary to make sure parliament has a say on it?

Look on the bright side a weak £ is good for multinationals earning in $. And for Jacob Rees-Mogg's hedge fund.

The end of this insanity may be fairly close. Johnson narrowly squeaked out of a trial and probable jail sentence for lying in public office. Now he is wide open to being taken to court for treason.
