The current state of the transfer market 10:53 - Jul 22 with 399 viewspointofblue

Just having a look on the current transfer dealings across the division and I have to admit we don’t seem to behind any other team - excluding Forest who are clearly doing a Wolves and trying to buy the division - in terms of incomings and outgoings. Possibly due to the World Cup it seems to have been a quiet summer, at least at our level, and the next three weeks will surely see a lot of movement.

The key concern is our track record in getting in what we need; long term we haven’t yet replaced Berra, Smith or Webster whilst it took us a season to find another goalscorer after Murphy’s departure and he may be off himself. There’s still plenty of time and fingers crossed Hurst will get in what we need but, with every club seemingly scrabbling for players, this could be a very exciting and no doubt nerve-wracking run to mid August.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?
