Strange to think 11:43 - May 5 with 1730 views | textbackup | That next season our aim is to stay up/finish 17th.. when we’ve spent the last 23 years aiming to go up! Great thing is, you know our owners won’t just buy any old player, cash cows, they’ll all have to be a certain type. Might not see us stay up, but you’d think we’ll give it a bloody good go, and do it our way.

Strange to think on 13:49 - May 5 by stonojnr | there were plenty in those years who wanted to go down to break the monotony of however many years we had in the championship, especially when we werent even challenging for the playoffs. |
Well, yes, after the tedium of Mick's last 2 seasons & our declining, ageing squad some advocated a relegation & a re-set. Paul Hurst was the perfect man for part (a), but unfortunately Lambert was the wrong man for part (b). For those of us wishing to deify McKenna (don't get me wrong - he's done an incredible job here) please remember that Lambert was a well though of, young manager who had success at a couple of small clubs & then took Norwich to successive promotions & then kept them there! He was then poor at Villa, Blackburn, Wolves & Stoke before, for some unfathomable reason, Marcus Evans thought he was the right man to get Town back where they belonged.
