Obviously the grass will grow back, but I was thinking about the synthetic fibres.

When the pitch gets invaded it will mean the club can more than afford to replace the entire pitch if need be.

After the Bolton play off game I confess I heeled up and pocketed a chunk of the pitch near the penalty spot that had been loosened during the game and it grows in my back lawn to this day. Naughty, very naughty.

Exactly this. If there is a promotion celebration at PR, isn't it better if everyone in the ground can see it & take part, rather than a bunch of cretins spoiling it for the players & everyone else? |  |
