Khushi's bat 15:44 - Apr 8 with 1840 viewsSharkey

At Trent Bridge yesterday (Notts v Essex) the umpires found that Feroze Khushi's bat was too big. He was required to change it, and Essex will probably be docked points.

It made me wonder if there's any rule about how big goalkeeping gloves can be. They seem to be getting bigger and bigger.

I was hoping to watch a bit on Youtube this afternoon, but he'd cleaned up!

German Sepp Maier was one of the first keepers to wear the over-sized gloves now regarded as standard. He supplemented this by also wearing huge, baggy shorts.

Same! It had the makings of a potentially cracking run chase as Essex declared giving a little carrot to Notts.

Looks mainly like a traditional anti-climatic first round of the season afternoon handshakes and wash outs elsewhere.

Edit. In saying that, Northants are doing very Northants things at Hove.
