If today didn’t highlight what we (and everyone else) already knew - we need a striker who can find the back of the net. Thought Sarmiento looked good but ultimately we’ve tried unsuccessfully to negotiate a good deal for a striker and time has almost run out. We need to accept we’re going to have to pay what they want for a deal to happen whether that’s for a loan or a permanent signing. We will kick ourselves if the season unravels as a result of us not bringing someone in.

We shouldn't need two new signings to beat a tier sixth team FFS. But yes, overall, we do need new players up top.

My point being that if we can’t out-score Maidstone then we clearly need new blood for the league run-in.
