I think in both cases he was looking for the foul but I also think they were fouls. Ref seems to have done well from what I have seen.

Well Leeds tactic just seemed to be go down near the PNE box fall over and ref will award a free kick, whilst up other end of the pitch ref was playing advantage to Leeds when they fouled PNE players in similar situations.

It's the consistency from refs we look for ,not necessarily whether a foul should be a free kick or not
