Morsy is class! 21:51 - Dec 12 with 1005 viewsWicklowBlue

Loved the way he was chasing around the Watford defence. Watching for a mistake, saw an opportunity and the quick acceleration to pounce on the poor touch. Then a deft touch to take it past the defender and a super cool finish.

Wow!!! Work rate and skill in that 30 seconds he is the beating heart of this team.

Brave decision by the Boss. Many of us would have rested him tonight. McKenna trusts the squad enough that even if Morsey gets a ban we will carry on as usual.

Thought he absolutely bossed the game after scoring. He was looking for the ball and keeping us cool and organised.... Easily my MOM.

Almost noone would have rested him. This three poitns was tougher on paper than Saturday, and resting him would mean he'd end up missing two games (when the eventual booking comes) rather than one.

Just such a shame he isn't 26-27. What a player and captain. Making history for himself at Town. Will be a legend.

We'll have to find a top player to replace him. Mentioned before but Ben Sheaf at Cov would be absolutely perfectly. Quality quality player who is outstanding at winning back possession. If we went up might be possible but they would want top dollar.

At times aggressive players like Morsy hit their top at an older age. Learning the game and controlling themselves rather than just lunging in and kicking heels getting frustrated.

Dare I see a bit of Roy Keane in him but controlling the temper better. Nasty player breaks play down, breaks up the play and drives the team forward.

As long as he looks after himself physically he has several years left in the locker.

Agree, Sheaf is one of those that goes under the radar a bit.. 6ft, athletic, ball winner, good engine, decent technically. 25years old and came through Arsenal academy I'd love to see him hear.
