OK so when fit he can match Mbappe and Neymar. Interesting.

He was quick back then, wasn't he ? Let's hope McKenna's team get him back up to speed, then we will be prepared for whoever we face in the Premier League next season who has signed Mbappe...

What a genuinely lovely guy, v self aware. Absolutely no big time Charlieism from him, he'll fit right in to the group.

If we can help him get and stay fit he is an absolute monster player we have on our hands.

Poll: Will Phil ever confirm we are actually close on a signing ever again

If he’s fit this guy is the answer to our problems at the back. We’ve let in some soft goals of late and have been kept in the game by our goalkeeper, so a defender of his ability and experience is massively needed.

What are you talking about? ‘Kept in the game by our goalkeeper’? He had a big hand in two of the Leeds goals a couple of weeks ago and is actually between the sticks to make saves. Perhaps the opposition keepers kept them in the game too.

The centre backs have not been the problem with most of the goals we’ve conceded. Clarke’s side is the biggest area of concern to me at the moment. We look wide open at times and I doubt Axel would have made much difference to that. Williams and/or a fit Clarke (who I like - big, quick, good attitude) might.

Norwich’s injury list. Not good, is it.
