A friend of mine used to work at a steel making company in the north as a graduate, the internet culture was rather lax (this early 2000s) although he had left by the time an awful lot of people were caught and warned about conduct.
A senior manager in one place I worked is understood (because IT told people and it got discussed by everyone) to have run up a very large phone bill trying to download a file whilst abroad on a work trip. Part of that cost may also have been to clean the item afterwards (hardware not the screen!).

Being an MP *should*, in theory, be a very demanding job. But it doesn't help that our system creates such division whereby you have some seats so safe you could put a blue or red rosette on Mr Blobby and he'd be guaranteed a job for life.
Many MPs of all stripes take great pride in their community work and spend countless hours dealing with their constituents' needs. But sadly we have many hundreds of them who sit on their laurels doing sod all, much like Ipswich's current one.
But the public gets what the public wants.

The answer to your question is of course not and there is no scenario where watching porn is acceptable in public.
I can’t get my head round the stupidity of it. Astonishing. In the HoC he’s in a public place with cameras everywhere. Why do it? That’s before the people you mention around him.

My brother runs a IT support/maintenance firm and you'd be amazed by how many people come in with often home made porn on their laptops. You might say his engineers shouldn't be looking, but if its a data recovery job, they have no choice but to check what's being restored.

A disagreement in a constituency office cannot be compared to going to jail for a sex offences, molesting an underage boy, cocaine possession/use, and taking undeclared back handers.
One of which has already been to jail, another almost certainly to, with another having to resign while a fourth avoids the law by hiding in rehab .... and this one almost certainly facing resignation.

In that light perhaps nothing should be done about the rising cost of living, staff shortages, hold ups at ports..... because there is a war on.
By that 'logic' Boris Becker should not have had to face a trial, as there is also a murder trial in Cumbria, which the judiciary should be focussing on.
