Sacked a manager (not the wrong decision in itself) and had no idea who to replace him with, even Evans who is a complete numbskull had a manager ready and waiting when he eventually pulled the trigger. We have essentially written these games off and as a result our season is now officially over on the 16th December.

Ashton brought his concerns to the Board and made his case to them. They were duly “ advised”.
But he had no replacement lined up . Ridiculous strategy and we are getting what we are getting now . A complete melt down of the team.
It looks like day one of the season with a brand new squad . They look like total strangers out there on the pitch . Shell shocked . Rudderless . Not a clue what partnership they are in in the team. Not a clue what formation works of his best to play it .
At least under Cook they had some semblance of know how about what was expected even if it wasn’t very effective.
What we have seen since his sacking is a complete unravelling.

I certainly wasn't Cook Out at the time and I certainly wouldn't have sacked him without a new manager being lined up but some people are acting as if Cook was a fantastic manager who was hard done by. He took us on when we were in the play off spots and ended the season 11th, then got rid of every player in the squad and replaced them with 19 players who have made us worse.
The Cook sacking was completely justified as he did an utterly terrible job here. It's only the lack of a replacement which is making it a strange decision. |  |

l wonder how many of these players were Ashton signings and nothing to do with Cook ? Celina was, he even said he basically told Cook he was going to try for him. Bet Edwards and Harper were too. Fraser was another at a guess. Think Mr Brent has to take the can for this mess as well as Cook. |  | | |
