Nothing to see here, everyone thinks you're doing a great job! Really! Go and make yourself a cuppa, maybe get John one while you're there... there's a good lad!' [Post edited 2 Dec 2021 11:55]

I wonder if Cook and his coaching scouse mates had one eye on the Liverpool Everton game last night. Didn’t he say there was always plenty of banter flying between the blues and reds

Best mates regularly f..k each other in football by taking their jobs. It's that kind of industry. And think about this...why would a guy who has reportedly turned down the Ipswich No 2 job working for that ' best mate' because he see himself as more of a No 1, suddenly do a complete about face and take the job of No 2 to KD in the U23s?

We won't be appointing someone that did an ok job in L2 as our next manager anytime soon. [Post edited 2 Dec 2021 13:10]

What's your point? Liam Richardson didn't leave a manager's job to become a number two. The OP was suggesting McGreal had been bought in behind PC's back which is fanciful at best when he's mates with Cook and someone he's wanted on his staff since the summer. [Post edited 2 Dec 2021 13:09]

There is absolutely no coincidence that an ex-manager, who wants the Town managerial job, previously on the club's shortlist has been carefully added to the staff right on the turn of the transfer window as the club is about to face what could be a tough run of results and supporter disappointment. Gamechanger will be looking to protect their £40mil + investment. The pension fund will be asking questions as to why they have lost a further £10million if we do not get promoted. They will need to keep supporters on board, even if McGreal is just an interim plan while they appoint someone else, there is definitely more to this appointment. He's going to be manager, even to cover or until the end of the season.

So if we now have McGreal sitting up in the stand observing, do we need Peter Reid too?

No. Did we need Reid in the first place? Whatever he’s been employed or been asked to do, isn’t working at all.

Yet. Given he’s been here what, a couple of months now, at best, what is it he actually does and what isn’t working? I’m genuinely interested because I don’t know what he or the coaching staff come to that do.
