100% agree: in the past Sir Bobby always said that's what he looked for. There were tonnes back then - e.g. Butcher and Osman - and even 20 years ago we had McGreal and Venus, Holland and Magilton.
I actually think it's still important as there's no need for massive squad rotation, as we've shown, it makes no odds.
