100% agree: in the past Sir Bobby always said that's what he looked for. There were tonnes back then - e.g. Butcher and Osman - and even 20 years ago we had McGreal and Venus, Holland and Magilton. I actually think it's still important as there's no need for massive squad rotation, as we've shown, it makes no odds. Progress will be turning clean sheets and the odd goal into a few hidings for teams that are not on the ball. We should have done that last night, and if we had enough about us, could have tonked them 3-0. | |
