If there were to be a change of manager 11:46 - Jan 25 with 364 viewsFelstow1978

If - and "if" is the key word in all of this - Lamberk is handed his P45, is the choice of his replacement less important in reality than a decision by Evans to appoint an experienced, and well-connected Director of Football? Whoever becomes the Manager will need considerable support and guidance as they start to rebuild the team on the pitch and on the acres of evidence before us suggest that Lose O'Neill isn't the man for this role. An experienced DoF will fight the Manager's battles with the Owner on his behalf as well as tellibg Evans sone home truths when needed.

You really need to appoint a Director of Football before you appoint a new Manager.

The ideal time for such an appointment was six months before MM’s contract expired. We wouldn’t be where we are now if it had been done.
