Yes, around 10 years ago, probably the year after Katrina hit 10 hour drive from the Orlando Florida area. My partner booked a nice (expensive!) 2 night hotel close to the french quarter downtown. what I can remember is that it was an excellent weekend and entrance tickets were great value. Rod Stewart was there on one stage while Nora Jones was playing on another which almost split us up for the rest of that day. Spent a drunken late night around the party streets of the french quarter which looking back with so many homeless displaced locals could have ended badly, great party event though...then the dreaded 10 hour drive back home!
