Best Northern away day atmosphere that I can remember, ever.

Yeah, it was fun today.

FFS. They were celebrating a late goal and 3 points. Please let's not make football so sterile that this brings shame on the club.

At what point did I say that? In fact I said it’s good to see the fans celebrate. Great to see the fans reengage with the club and vice versa.

Tranmere should be fined for that pitch. Like the bad old days in the 70s when mud ruled

One person on the pitch and a couple stepping over a two foot wall isn’t much of an invasion.

getting through the mud and sand took some effort though

This...dialling it back to basics the game is nothing without fans. While of course player and fan safety is paramount, do we really want supporters sitting in their seats nodding appreciatively while eating prawn sandwiches?

Simple approach is like at gigs, those who encroach on the pitch are escorted out of the ground. Don't see the need for further sanctions unless there is an en masse invasion.

I very nearly said on here after the game that it was absolute scenes.

But then I remembered it was a northern game so nobody would believe me.

‘Twas am absolute belter.

It could cost Tranmere money....! Not us.

There was only one first class eeejit on show today and that was the one who was the one saying that town were back in the top two for about ten minutes after Wycombe had scored their second. Possibly the same man that wetted himself when Tranmere scored.

You think it is “class” to invade the pitch? It could well cost the club some money. Whoever they were they are attention seeking clowns imo

People are allowed to have different opinions, the abuse seems unnecessary.

Today was a great win with a great atmosphere. I’m not a huge fan of supporters entering the playing area after watching the Birmingham fan assault Grealish last year. I know many fans will see celebrating a goal as different but I’d be interested to know how the players feel about it.

Can people not contain themselves and stay off the pitch though. Isn't that the point? You can still "go mad" without coming on the pitch!

Seems some were like little over excited children. You could kinda understand it in a vital game. Tranmere away in January isn't that.

It's just a bit embarassing haha.

Apart from a certain club who didn't get sanctioned for a mass pitch invasion , while players were still on the pitch, who's fans then went to goad the opposition supporters. Two seasons later a couple of our own get done for spilling over the fence.
