If you think we would still have the likes of Cresswell, Ming's & Wickham even if we hadn't of sold them when we did you are living in cloud cuckoo land. There is a little thing called the Bosman ruling. If ME kept turning down offers from PL clubs for these players, they would have refused to sign new contracts & let their current contract run down. Meaning they would have left on a free & the club would have got nothing. [Post edited 18 Jan 2020 20:01]
