I went back last week, but Mrs itfcjoe back after 15 months maternity today so going to be fun for her
Back part time but has to do 6 weeks full time first, including weeks 3-6 on a course in London so you can imagine how much fun that will be for me with 2 nippers to sort on my own basically for the duration of that!
I picked up emails again on Friday and TBF only worked one day as of the 12th December. Been a tough year though and honestly having that much time to not stress and reset my brain has done me the world of good. Not too fussed about being back on it, if anything I need as much work as possible to ensure I have spending money for New York in June. Joys of being self employed I guess.
Was back yesterday. Had a motorsport event to attend.
I did get to drive a Morgan 3 wheeler to and from. At 7am on a damo, cold, morning the outward journey was interesting! Grip is thin in those cars.
Have 2 1/2 weeks off and was a bit bored.
Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me.
Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing.
Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial.
Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid.
Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.
Enjoy the fact that you had a break. I worked through most of it and ended up doing work on Boxing Day - still I had a nice break from that to watch the football.....
I am still not back after the 2013 Christmas/New Year break-retirement is wonderful.
I was contemplating early retirement later this decade, however, Mrs Beard has seen a new house that we MUST have.
*puts golf clubs back in the shed*

I've posted on here before, I love what I do - enjoy work and my colleagues company. It seems, sadly, for many, this isn't the case, which is a real shame as we spend so much time at 'work'.
Hope you made the most of your time off.
Ade Akinbiyi couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo...
Yep, the highs of the holidays and the lows of January back to work..
Back to blighty for me. Been in Patagonia for a month finishing off the missing bit of my Ushuai to Cartegena trip. Amazing place, so so stunning. Even briefly met a beautiful Swiss 2 biker chic who stole my heart, she is a perfect fit and I am definitely weak in the knees thinking of her...
Today I fly back to the UK having left a few days before the election hoping to come back to a new rainbow coalition government with progressive greens at the centre setting the agenda around protecting the environment, a new productive EU relationship, an independent government perusing an international policy of standing up to Trump and his mentalist tendancies, and the mighty Ipswich storming ahead en route to the Premiership and soon, European domination.
You think you're having a sh1t day? Think again.
And the beautiful Swiss love of my life has an Italian boyfriend.
My retirement was not all that early-just a couple of weeks before my 63rd birthday-but so glad I did it.
Have you found Lucan yet?
In China still.
I'm sure he'll regale us all with a few stories at some stage, however, he was drinking in a bar when a local challenged him to a drinking competition.
Judging by the pictures of the aftermath, it didn't end too well for the local who had to be carried out. Lucan offered a beer drinking competition, the local wanted a top shelf one...

This isn't the abode of a former high up Tory is it?

Went back last Thursday/Friday, although it was pretty pointless given there was hardly anything to do (and knowing most people I deal with come back in today).
Has anyone asked Sitters if he had shoes this morning yet?
In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!
So, back to work then... on 08:28 - Jan 6 by bluelagos

I went back on the 2nd after finishing on the 12th.
Usually the Jan Blues are really bad after spending time with my boy and mrs for a few weeks but we are expecting another child in March and my work has extended paternity leave to 4 weeks now, so i've got that work break coming up which isn't too bad.
