Xmas dinner: Yorkshires or not? on 18:57 - Dec 24 by jeera
Blimey.
I can understand everyone chipping in if money's tight so that would make sense.
But she's not doing anything the average household isn't already throwing together Xmas dinner wise...
but wtf is this monstrosity all about?
"i'm not being tight" as she boasts of making a profit...
Nothing wrong with people chipping in, I always turn up with plenty of drinks wherever I go but quite odd to say you make a profit and then spend it on extra presents.
Funnily enough I've just had this conversation & the response was a resounding no!
I tend to agree with the no voters on this , definitely is one of first names on a sunday roast team sheet , but never should make the cut for Christmas.

Which I have for later in the week.
Answer the bloomin' question mister.
Xmas dinner = Yorkshires/Suffolk batter puddings, or not.
Vote and be damned.
By 'Xmas dinner' do you mean 'what you have on Christmas Day for dinner'? If you do, the answer is, 'it depends on what I'm having for dinner on Christmas Day'.
If, on the other hand, you are using 'Xmas dinner' as shorthand for 'roast turkey and all the trimmings', then the answer is 'No. I am not a culinary heathen'.
(We are having a chicken gallotine containing duck and pheasant breasts, accompanied by potatoes roasted in goose fat, roast sprouts with garlic and pancetta, glazed carrots, parsnips, root veg mash, pigs in blankets, cranberry sauce and gravy).

Ooh, that's a good one.
I have to say I like a good sized pool of gravy in the centre when possible.
I usually pour the gravy over them so the centre has some in, then before eating any of the dinner I will pick them up and pour the gravy out so they retain some crispiness. I've put a lot of thought into this...
