A bit of a conundrum on 10:59 - Dec 22 with 736 views | Pinewoodblue | Paul Lambert gave the answer Yesterday What will get the Blues back to their previous level? “Hard work, sheer graft, that’s what gets you there. Without that, you can have all the ability in the world, it doesn’t matter, if you don’t have the hard work and the graft. Unfortunately he missed out the bit about having a settled team.

When it gets to the stage when Town fans are arguing amongst themselves and I think someone was given a slap yesterday at the back of the stand, then it is time to calm down a bit.
A bit of a conundrum on 11:23 - Dec 22 with 690 views | WD19 | The rather straightforward answer is that you change what can most easily and reasonably be changed in order to find a way forward .......But Bloots upset a few ppl pointing that out so probably best not to.
A bit of a conundrum on 11:39 - Dec 22 with 673 views | Darth_Koont | Making the most of what you do have is the important thing. Not sure we've even got close to that over the last couple of years. Personally, I think we need to look at what we're good at and what we're bad at and go from there. Possession seems to do little for us and we can't cut defences apart so I'd look at making us much more compact and solid, using Jackson's pace in the channels and Norwood's nuisance factor as a cut-price Bent and Kuqi tribute act. Then use a midfielder breaking forward when we get the ball in an advanced position. Or Garbutt's set-pieces. It's a much more limited and direct game plan but actually think we'd be better at that anyway - and crucially a lot harder to play against too. Currently we overwork the ball and then lose it cheaply which often gives the opposition the space to run at us.

Good posting recently Darth. You haven’t pressed the doomsday button. Totally agree. As much as people protest, what we’re good at is our play around the deep midfield. And how we bring Garbutt into play. Where we’re failing is breaking between the lines, or getting to the byline or edge of the box, and striker supply. Edwards is getting service but is not good enough. Nolan is currently not effective. We need some pace and running. We need Norwood more involved. We need to build the team around the spine of The Wolf, Downes and Norwood. Bishop, Rowe, Dobra and KVY are the type of player we need. But only Dobra is fit. So as you say we need to use Jackson as the pace somehow. If we play Skuse and Downes in a 4 4 2 you need good width with pace, and in some ways we only have Jackson fit and effective. It’s a conundrum. And we simply have to get three points Boxing Day.

This might be a good time to mention that Gillingham have only lost once in nine games in all competitions, a recent record in stark contrast to our own.
