Just booked tickets for his stand-up tour. Good move?

Saw him in Colchester couple weeks ago - enjoyed it despite it being effectively a sports hall...

Saw him in Cambridge a few years ago. He was mildly amusing from time to time but got very cross when he saw someone filming him,

I saw Rhod Gilbert at Charter Hall recently - what a terrible venue! Rhod was hilarious though

Not surprised on the last bit - probably not helpful for comedians touring for months on end with new material to have said material plastered everywhere ruining it for people that haven’t had the chance to see them yet

Highlighting crass stupidity since sometime around 2010

On a similar note I’m off to see Ed Gamble tonight at Shepherds Bush Empire - same question to anyone who’s seen him live?

Plus , it's f*cking bad manners. Got to a show and WATCH IT rather than dick about with your phone so's you brag to your mates online later.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

I saw him perform in Truro way back in 2002 and enjoyed him. Only thing that sticks in my mind is him riffing about poor planning on tours which had seen him play to one man and his dog at Ipswich as his gig was the same night as a Town home game. But this had been better than the climax of his nationwide tour the previous year, which climaxed with two nights at the London Palladium, but again saw big gaps in the audience as the shows were booked for 11 and 12 September 2001.

Seen Ed Gamble couple of times, struggles to do an hour long show. Ed Byrne is very funny, especially if you have had kids

Bobby Robson - thank you

Quite right too. Saw Jonathan Pie absolutely tear a filmer to bits recently. It’s rude, unnecessary, distracting and the act own the content, not the audience.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

I havent but would highly recommend Romesh Ranganathan and James Acaster. Saw them both this month in Ipswich and were both very good. On stage for around 1 hour 45 aswell.

He was spooked by sound of something back stage and never recovered his composure and died a slow death

He didn’t struggle on Friday, did about an hour and a half and was really good

Also agree fully with the poster who mentioned James Acaster - absolutely brilliant live although probably not to everyone’s tastes
