Can't imagine PL busting a gut to get through to the third round.

Might as well play the reserves in the Coventry replay. A huge trip to a game which we could well lose - or gain another replay!

Good opportunity to get through to the 4th round. Cup run, we're going on a cup run :)

Doubt if this one will be at Eastville though.

Very underwhelming draw (as usual). Could’ve been worse I suppose, at least we have a decent chance of progressing as long as PL gives it some respect.

If Lambert is doing his job properly he will play his strongest team against Coventry, win, and do likewise in the third round.

I actually want a bit of a Cup run instead of a whole season playing mediocre teams going nowhere.

At the expense of promotion?

I know that was then, but it could be again..

I hope we get Plymouth. I quite fancy a trip down to Cornwall to kick off the year.

Worth quickly popping over the border into the People's Republic of Cornwall, as I will do. Beautiful part of the world...

Why does having a cup run mean we won't get promotion?

People believe all this sh!te. We could go out to Coventry and not get promoted as well.

Why does it have to be one or the other? I think making 5/6 changes is good enough to beat Coventry and then whoever in the 3rd round.

Due to everybody complaining about the lack of Saturday games, we don't have a fixture lined up for 4th January so may as well go for it. Otherwise it's just another weekend off.

It may not be a Saturday game if it is Bristol Rovers, as Bristol City will also be at home on that day.

So it is likely that one of the games will be moved.

One of the only things I was looking forward to once relegation was sealed was the cup.

A chance to face a team like Heybridge Swifts in the FA Cup, followed by a trip to Eastleigh or Maldon or someone we've not faced before.

But we get a League One team, win after a replay and get a League One team and now if we win that we will get a League One team. If we won all of those, we'd likely play a Premier League team (who would dismantle us) or a Championship side we faced last year.

It's as underwhelming as it could ever be and I'm not fussed if we beat Coventry and Bristol Rovers. The only exciting thing about it was playing teams we wouldn't usually face and that's pretty much gone now.

If we had a massive squad fair enough. I don't get the need for a participantion cup run at the potential expense of the league campaign.
