I know it's rained a bit this week, but there must be two factors at play here....

1) Archant having their offices literally a couple of feet from where the flood is.

2) Drains must be blocked surely? It hasn't rained "that" much.

Suspect that Corbyn emptied his deep fat fryer down the drains there earlier today.

He looks the sort.

Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.

It's hardly going to have someone building an ark - it's a small puddle.

It does beg the question at what point does a puddle become a flood?

They made a big deal of this 'flood' and then signed off with

"A large amount of water collected on the road on Wednesday but witnesses said it appeared to drain quite quickly"

I do love an Archant non-story.

That was the tears of sadness after our disallowed goal on Tuesday.

Funnily it was blocked at exactly the same point that Ipswich Borough Council regularly wash out the tanks on their street sweepers. My office overlooks that spot and they are always doing it.

Soddy maintenance by the council in terms of drain clearance . Same as the environmental agency not clearing rivers / streams of sludge and then there’s shock / amazement at rainfall causing floods . Cut backs , innit!
