Much hungrier and sharper than Blackpool in their drills - Rowe and Downes especially.

We'd best calm down, don't want to tweak anything!

Go on then, enlighten me. And i don’t see many people ripping the pi** out of me.
You don’t think a warm up has any bearing on the way a team starts? Is that your point?
We looked sharp in the warm up and started the game brightly and went 1-nil up....

This chat exposes your gap in knowledge having never played the game and probably never been involved in a pre-match warm up at any level. If you’re sharp in the warm up it carries on into how you start the game as shown by Rowe in the opening ten minutes. Pretty basic. Enjoy your beer.

Yeah. Do you think players switch on the minute the whistle is blown? Preparation starts days in advance culminating in the warm up. Downes and Rowe looked sharp in the warm up and they were our best two players in the opening 15 mins.

PL doesn’t just send them have to have a kick about.

Bristol City YTS. Semi-pro in the Southern and Western Leagues. FA Vase quarter finalist was as good as it got after being released from City. Apparently Herbivore knows more about pre-match preparation though...

Clearly you don’t. The two players I called out pre-game were our two brightest in the opening stages. I also thought Edwards looked a bit flat and the first 5 he had a poor touch and was caught on his heels to give away that free-kick 25-yards our which Norris palmed away.

You can tell a lot from the little one-two touch drills we do pre-game and you can see who fancies it or not. It’s no different in training. PL will make decisions on who starts based on drills like that.

Just to clarify, your football CV, was it real life or on football manager/FIFA etc??

Real life. Don’t think FIFA has a Youth Training Scheme function yet.

I Agree with Keanish, and it showed during the game, Rowe would have been my MOM if he had the full 90 (Nolan for me in the end).
