Micky mouse cup next round 21:30 - Nov 12 with 1426 viewsChocorange

If I have understood the rules correctly then we have 4 possible opponents in the next round away from home.

These are
MK Dons
Peterborough
Exeter
Chelsea U21 .. No idea if they are allowed to play at Stamford Bridge , but are probably playing Charlie Brown

Couldn't care less. Though could probably do without a trip to Exeter.

Would be at Stamford Bridge.

Peterborough played there last season in this cup.

£5 a ticket.

In last years draw , the way the draw was 'managed ' to avoid runners up from a group playing the same group winner was that the winners of Groups A to D , could only play at home to Runners Up from groups E to H.
Vice versa for the E to H group winners and A to D runners up.

In that case we can only play away to the 4 teams on my OP as the group winners from E to H.

"Micky Mouse" we're absolutely deluded if we think we're above this. It's a competition for teams in the bottom 2 Leagues of English football, which we are. I often see our fans refer to the League Cup as the same thing every time we go out of that and we haven't won that either, or any domestic cup 1978, so what does that make our club now? We've not been to Assembly in 2 decades either.

We are where we are, it's never fun losing against Colchester and finishing 2nd to them regardless of what team we fielded. Our clubs attitude to competitions of any kind simply has to change before there will ever been any real progress here thats for sure. No competition is beneath us, we're sitting in our lowest position since the 1950's, we have absolutely no right to look down our noses at anything.
