I've just listened to the Bulgarian national anthem and if UEFA have any sense the Bulgarians shouldn't be fined anywhere near as much for disrupting "God Save the Queen" as we should be for messing up the "Mila Rodino". | |

After the game we went to a hotel near the ground and got them to book us a taxi back to our apartment.
I know the police escorted the fans heading back to the city centre and led them down some side streets which apparently were dodgy to say the least. They then left them in the city centre to get taxis themselves. Loads of our fans then got ripped off by the taxi drivers, somebody I know got charged 90 Lev (about 45 quid) to get back to their accommodation. We paid just under 4 Lev for our taxi from the hotel.
Didn’t hear of any trouble after the game but there may have been some isolated incidents. | | | |

There were some ultras on the other side of the stadium from us who were chanting but I didn’t hear them making monkey noises although wouldn’t be surprised if they were.
The first time I realised something was going on was when Kane came over to Southgate and spoke to him and then said something to the ref about what was going on.
They then made an announcement over the tannoy and loads of the Bulgarian fans started to boo. Then after a while we noticed that some of the ultras were leaving the stadium but was not sure whether they had been ejected or they just decided to leave themselves.
We were quite prepared to hear that the game was going to be called off at h/t. Certainly there was a edgy atmosphere before the game kicked off and we had been warned not to cut through parks on the way to the ground.
With regards to the racial issue certainly UEFA needs to deal with it in the strongest terms possible but whether they will is another matter. This is the 2nd time I have been to Sofia following England but if we should get drawn against them in the future I for one won’t be coming back. | | | |
