Great film ... I keep thinking about it and would definately watch it again.

Joaquin Phoenix surely a shoo in for best actor when the awards are handed out. Superb performance.

I got dragged to see it on Saturday night against my wishes. It's very good: extremely subtle in the growing signs of madness and little things like his gnawed finger nails or tabacco stained fingers. Definitely not a batman film. Like you say Phoenix is pretty amazing: totally believable.

I see some have called it a call to arms for incels, but not so sure about that myself.

I liked it a lot, and it would have been just as good if it was a stand alone film in no way tied into the DC universe.

I'm not really a film buff and, other than some of the recent Batman films, don't really watch any of the superhero films.

Having said that, I thought this was a great film. Very dark and gripped me from start to finish. My take on the story as a whole (this film) is that I am unsure whether they will be able to make a sequel but I would really like to see him play the Joker again
