Famed for breaking the nose of a director making a film of his life and music.....Jack Bruce once said that having him live on another continent was still too close At the time Baker was living in Africa and Bruce in Europe (Lavenham in Suffolk if I'm correct).

I think Jack Bruce lived nearer to Stoke-by-Nayland

Didn’t Ginger Baker suffer from quite a serious medical condition for many years, but still kept on performing?

I think he had serious spine problems (mainly caused by repeatedly falling off his polo ponies) and emphysema (or a similar condition).

I noticed that for the Cream reunion gig at The Albert Hall Jack Bruce had a stool to lean on rather than stand on his feet.

Jack had had a liver transplant around that time - not sure if it was before or after the gigs.

Although I saw them as The Graham Bond organization, and have seen Clapton in Bluesbreakers, Yardbirds, and many times more recently , I was never fortunate enough to see Cream per se.

That's sad news. Many, many years ago a friend went to see Ginger Baker's Airforce in Norwich and despite it being a sold out gig he reckoned there were still more people in the band than in the audience
