Barry Cotter 21:50 - Sep 9 with 5571 views | ITFCMonk | Came on straight after Half Time tonight for u23s and still came out as best player. I know we have KVY now but he actually came on at RCB in a back 5 while Crowe stayed at RWB. Surprised he didn’t join Drinan on loan at that club he trialled for.
Barry Cotter on 21:52 - Sep 9 with 5518 views | MrTown | I’m sorry but imo he is some way off. Team wasn't great tonight, Forest just a better side. Their number 4, Fornah, some footballer.

Said it before, and I’ll say it again. He won’t make another first team appearance for us.

That is one danger of getting the Youths into the First Team. It can cause a dip in form for the U23s until the next lot come through and get settled in the team. Not to mention that some others who might have played are off on international duty.

Barry Cotter on 08:38 - Sep 10 with 4413 views | Moriarty | He’s the type whose U23 form, and indeed training form, id ignore if I was his manager and just throw him in. Some players thrive on the big stage and nowhere else. It’s the buzz that will make him. I know it won’t happen but if he started v Donny, I think he’d do very well.

Who would you leave out for a player who played one first team match 18 months ago? Even the most obvious weak link, Kenlock, has proved himself over a far longer period of time and the best bits of his game are decent.

Having watched him play at Playford Rd were you get a greater sense of what is going on, been very impressed, continually geeing up the others during warm up and play. Quick feet, will take players on and has a Dozzell like pass in him. Deserves a chance at least in the first team squad, much better then some who have played this season. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Indeed, squad looked a little bit weak tonight, trialist in my opinion didn't look good enough, Ndaba seems to have taken a step backwards. I guess it is just the time where a bulk a going through to the first team picture now.

Although i tend to agree he would give 110% in the first team as someone else has said why would you risk him and leave someone else out . If we get a couple of injury's i don't think he would let us down !

I think he’d have to start at right back, which would mean putting KVY on the bench - which would be a bit mad in itself. I played competitively in a different discipline, (many) years ago, with one of Barry’s Uncles. I think he needs that buzz from playing at Portman Road. Hope he gets some game time and Mick like tlc.

I think he’d gladly start up front as well if given a chance!

I'm sure he would he enjoy, he's some way off though imo.

I can understand that view. I think he’s worth a gamble though. And sometimes that’s what a manager should do.

Sounds like you're seeing something in training from Cotter that Lambert isn't then!

I think he has the name of a job that no longer exist. Barrycotter - a person who fixes gas lamps to buildings. Barrycotter - person that cuts trap doors on wooden ships. Barrycotter - the person that stitches rugs together.

The first team played wingbacks in the last game, so that's probably why they went for it.

Barry Cotter on 16:54 - Sep 10 with 3326 views | PositivelyPortman | Dunno about Cotter, but Crowe looked very poor at RB. Every time we moved up he control or passed to the opposition. Keane looked at him properly pi**ed off a couple of times after passing to him.

Agree. Nothing came off for him, he had a shocker.
