Agreed. good speech.

Moreover, completely agree that Conference season I.e. a jolly for all parties should be cancelled.

Especially at a time of national crisis like this. Postponed, at the very least.

She seems like she’s there through desire and hard work and is actually working for the people of her constituency rather than feathering her own nest.

Not that it's an indicator of her skill as an MP, but she has been on Have I Got News For You, and is always witty, passionate and interesting.

Good to see the Sun shoe-horning anti-Semitism allegations into the same piece also

It would be interesting to see the results of the police investigations if there actually any on this matter

They're happy to accuse supposed Labour members and Corbyn 'supporters' but how many are actually prosecuted with these connections proven?

You'd think so. Gets absolute pelters on social media from the Corbynites though. Labour's as divided and screwed as the Tories.

She seems like she’s there through desire and hard work and is actually working for the people of her constituency rather than feathering her own nest.

She is an unusual MP in that:

a) she stands up for what she believes 100% of the time, irrespective of consequences, for example turning up on her own to confront a Muslim picket of a Primary School in her Constituency who were protesting against sex education lessons at the school, and in particular any suggestion that homosexual relationships were part of normal life. Potentially a vote loser in her constituency.

b) I heart her. She's my favourite MP. A working class Brummie woman who sticks to her principles who most Momentum twitterati hate more than Rees-Mogg. Mainly because she is a working class woman who dares to stick up for her principles rather than just agree with everything the Dear Leader says. I'll leave it to you to decide whether this is mainly because:

1) she sticks to her principles rather than do whatever Corbyn tells her to do.
2) she's actually working class, as opposed to most of the Momentum twitterati who are Public School educated pure purity socialists. She doesn't speak their language, therefore can't be trusted to protect the interests of the working class like they can.
3) she has the temerity to be a woman.

They are absolutely relevant as Jess Phillips has been consistent in calling for more to be done by Labour to tackle Anti-Semitism, and criticised Corbyn for not doing enough, and this has led to the death threats the article talks about.

Yes, she has made a few gaffs with that one and comparing the mass sexual assaults in Cologne several years ago to "A typical night in Birmingham". Otherwise she does a good job of an MP.

Just to point out that the 'male suicide' criticism is a lie, so that wasn't a gaff. She was responding to a claim by Philip Davies that "the opportunity for men (in the Parliament] to raise issues that are important to them are very limited". Which is obviously bollox. He then tried to backtrack and say that wasn't what he had actually said/meant, and twisted it to say she didn't care about men's issues.

She wasn't commenting on mental health issues or men's rights at all (ironically this went on while she was the only women on a committee of half a dozen men or more). Yet that lie is still being spread by people like Crunchie.

The Mail put up a video (watch the first 20 secs for what actually happened), the comments of which demonstrates perfectly the type of vile abuse aimed at her ("she's a bitch", "I wouldn't even rape her", etc.). It's disgusting abuse.

Oops - video added.
