I note that we are due to play Bury and Bolton in the space of three games at the end of the season.

If they were to both vanish, assuming the fixtures didn't change, which is impractical bar the final weekend, I wonder if it would help or hinder.

Assuming we are up there, it could be a really handy break before the last five games, likely to be crucial, but also a risk of losing form or momentum.

Impossible to know, but if the two clubs were to sadly go - which we can do nothing about - then potentially from a selfish point of view it could be a slight helping hand.

Would probably just even itself out over the advantage we've arguably had (and would lose) if Bolton went bust now and we lost our 5-0 win.

If a team goes pop, all played games are null and void.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

I doubt it will make any difference. I really want them to survive. Any slight boost we got from their demise is so minuscule that it's utter pointless.

Truly impaired.

Just saying if they don't, it will create a huge space in our fixture list around early April.

Don't worry, we'll fill it with a trip to Wembley on the 5th

Yeah, but I didn't realise it also altered the Gregorian calendar as we know it! Better hope these clubs get bought then, as I don't want to be losing two weekends!

Bury is the only Saturday home league fixture between 12 October and 23 November which isn't good. Loss of Good Friday home fixture would also damage revenue.
