In Mark Murphy’s mind the Beattie statue is the biggest and most exciting ITFC related news at the moment, so he’s blinkered and holds the statue announcement in far higher regard than most people do (not to belittle the statue but it’s not *quite* worth the hype that’s, perhaps unintentionally, been built up for this announcement).
If he hadn’t said anything about there being an embargo for some big exciting news and a statue related announcement is made tomorrow then it would be seen as more exciting news than it will be, which is a shame and a situation of Murphy’s own creation. |  |
