Agreed, fantastic at this level. Obviously a big If but the perfect partner for Norwood and a further statement of intent.

Dunno how I feel about this boyos.
On the one hand, good player as most of us will agree.
On the other a very bad injury record and hardly ever scores goals.

Fingers crossed.

The other week when Lambert made a big thing about how Keane might not be fit after his injury it did seem a little excessive. Talking his wage down perhaps?

On what we saw last season, Keane fit for half the season will have a big impact on the side and, quite importantly, takes the emphasis off Norwood. Imagine being able to bring Keane and Jackson on with 30 minutes left in the run in....

masterstroke or a gamble that won't take off. Can we afford the gamble is the question? I would like another forward in who's reliable.

... hold, draw players to him, and release Norwood.

A different option to Jackson; gives us some real options.

Best overall squad for a while.

Now let’s see them gel into a system.

These three signings are a big boost ahead of tonight.
Competition everywhere!

I have no idea who he picks in midfield tonight. So many options.

Very excited to see our new right back in action.

We may get one though, we have I think 2 loan slots free at the mo.

Look at it more positively: he scored a third of his career goals in 12 matches for us last season.

big question for me, is how fit is he now?

Will he be available within a week or two, or will it be October before he is useful?

Undoubtedly a talented player, but we need him fit!

Hopefully he will have had a proper pre-season at Hull, loads of people here tell me that when we release injured players we are duty bound to help them recover train & find a new club. Ultimately I hope this is just a gamble and that we have someone else en route too.

We were after a target man with some Championship experience to step down and out perform in this league. We found him, and he already knows the club and the system we play. If fit he's the perfect partner for Sears and Norwood. We've either struck gold or we'll not see him again until August through injury. Gamble? Yes. But we need to take some risks.

This is ITFC. He'll be injured after 10 mins of his first game, and retire.

On the Twitter video he says he has played no football pre-season and might be ready for a U23/reserves game soon. It'll be 2-4 weeks until we see him, I'd wager.

Yep. If we can get him ready to go in the next month or so, presumably playing him in the appalling match against Spurs' kids and a few U23 games, then for me that is the squad complete. Great quality and depth for this level in every position except LB, really. It really should be enough.
