If you're coming from Ipswich and heading north up the A1M, then try taking the exit signposted Yaxley, it won't be signposted Peterborough, that's obviously a few miles on(good services there, KFC, McD's, chopstix etc..)......you head for Yaxley(A15)...at traffic lights carry straight on(not right into Yaxley itself)....after a couple of miles you will go through more lights and up to the roundabout.....more KFC&McD's first left here, but to the ground you want to go straight over(3rd exit), it will say London Road...over the next roundabout signposted Fletton....and just carry on along this road, going through a new build area, follow road over a hump back bridge and down to lights.
At this point you are a 10 minute walk to the ground, if you carry on towards the ground you can park along this road(London Rd)further along both sides for free, or turn off anywhere around here to again park for free, if you are there early enough(before 2.15pm!)....
There is also a big decent car park 2 minutes from ground, for this just carry on along London Rd past the ground on the right and up to the next set of lights, just before lights take left hand lane and turning left at lights the car park is on other side of road, away fans use this....Charters the barge pub which is decent away pub is a two minute walk too from here.
Like everywhere it's hard to get parked around the ground if you leave it late, so bare that in mind, but this is a quick decent way in from the A1, the A15 from the A1 is actually London Road, you just keep on it..
