What does it mean for us in reality?
We can obviously do business until 2nd September - but what sort of signings are we allowed to make?
Is it just free agents and loans, or those loans with future deals that happened last year? Or is the window just totally open for us to do exactly what we want until 2nd September? |  |

As far as I'm aware the window just continues as normal for us which may or may not help land targets if we're buying from a Championship club as they won't be able to get cover for the player leaving.
Not that I expect us to be signing a player from a Championship club for money.. |  |

Guess that is all that may potentially happen today - as any deals into L1 clubs are going to be very far down the list of priorities with no deadline today.

Now that Evans has come out with his usual fatuous tripe I dont think we will see anyone go.
Hopefully we can get those empty loan slots filled up with a good Prem player or two, a defender and a forward. |  |

Business as usual for us. Market has been slow and prices inflated thanks to the top two tiers shutting early. Benefits us as their squads will be finalised so will be more willing to let players go that they feel they have enough cover in their position. |  | | |

We can still do any deals, however Prem + Champ clubs won't want to lose anyone who they consider even as backup.
On the positive side Premier league clubs will only have L1 and below or abroad to loan their players to, meaning we can get them in on a lower wage. Also clubs who just want players off their books (maybe Murphy) might have their contracts cancelled now they know there's now no clubs who can take over his current wages |  |
