Just received my first jury summons. Who's done it, what should I expect?
Obviously varies case by case but anything to note?

Your employer does not have to give you paid leave for the two weeks jury service. Mine refused and I had to claim an allowance from the courts service, but it did not cover what I lost in earnings.
You can postpone the jury service if you have a legitimate reason, but you will be called again a few months later. |  | | |
