Agree with you on Skuse, in fact as he is just a little bit older and just a little bit slower a more defensive (as in positioning as well as tactics) role could be a natural career progression. But I would be concerned about his pace over longer distances, and maybe stamina over the course of a concerted wave of opposition attacks, I think a younger and faster centre back is also needed. Which, when he returns from injury, is Nsiala. Or, if he can establish himself, Woolfenden. So the unfashionable 4-4-2 for me (as it is presented to the opposition, but actually a melded pair of diamonds with two or three 'floating' players and an occasional Christmas Tree taking over - I may have got that confused with a scene from Disney's 'Fantasia' though). |  |
