Agreed.. strong opposition but we really don’t want a thumping. Hopefully second half we can steady the ship.. Always think games like these are sometimes a blessing in disguise by showing up weaknesses before we really get going.. |  |

Be interested to hear views of those at the game though, are there any obvious patterns of play?
A couple of bits sound alarming though, with regards to not being clinical mainly as that was a huge issue last year. Sounds as though Doz playing well though and looking sharp |  |

Can only go by the twitter feed but looks like we've been okay going forward, the defence has been the issue. That said, they've never played together before and three of them are kids. It'll be good experience for them. | |

I think PL's ethos is going to be "you score 1 we'll score 2" he was very very attack minded when managing Norwich, with the quality we have going forward (at L1 level) I can see this being what we have to look forward to this year. |  |

Chambers being a complete rock yer.. I just think we are taking a big risk doing nothing with our defence. Last year we had more options and still conceded far to many..

It will (or should) make a big difference to how our defence NEEDS to perform as errors should be less likely to be punished but if the defence as a whole performs better than it did last season we should be well on the way to doing well. |  | | |
