Pick one player... 16:32 - Jul 3 with 1186 viewsKeaneish

...who, of all the players in the squad has to step up to the plate and deliver week in-week-out to help us achieve a top 6 finish. We've got a lot of young academy players who now have good experience, some new academy additions who've broken through, and some good signings in the last 6 months.

Although it's obviously a squad game but who is the one player you think needs to deliver for us to be successful this season?

Bishop. 14/15 was a LONG time ago. Time for him to stay fit and deliver consistently.

At the moment you'd have to say Norwood. I can't see who else we are intending to rely upon for goals.

We may be at a lower level but are seriously devoid of players who score goals for us. Even Lee Cattermole had a fine scoring season in League One, so there's hope!

I think it will be Nolan.

OK, maybe Judge, Bishop and Huws are technically better, but I'm not convinced they will be consistent.

Judge, Bishop, Nolan, Lankester and Edwards SHOULD be goal threats. (Plus Sears for a few months)

....but who knows, will be interested to see how it works out in reality.

Nsiala/Woolfenden. We need our CBs to be rock solid.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Judge is the one for me who can really move the needle and be the difference for us next season. We need someone who'll put the ball in the net but Judge can create.

As others have said, big season for Bishop this. Not just for us, but in the context of his career. He's 22 now and really needs a season where he can stay fit and kick on.

Yeah, i'm more in this camp at the moment. Given how woeful we were at the back last season and the number of unforced errors we made, i think we have to be solid at the back to give the rest of the squad something to build upon. I want Toto to be commanding ala Berra in 14/15.

Norwood. The midfield should be fine. We need Norwood firing.

Truly impaired.

….particularly the defence, I'd suggest that the physio is going to be the one that really needs to step up next season.

Chambers and Nsiala it will be. Hope he isn’t relying upon Kenlock. Defenders look really poor, all need to step up.

Perhaps he's just found his level now...

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
