I understand this. Buying a bottle of something you really enjoy and savouring it. I don't get the people who go out with the intention of getting pissed out of their heads or people who have targets for how much they drink (one poster on here claimed to 'aim' for one pint every 20 minutes on a match day).

I like a couple of pints of Adnams bitter or a pint of Broadside but after that i've usually had enough.

I'm surprised, as an evidently intelligent man, how you don't understand why people want to get pissed.

I do get it (despite literally saying I don't in previous post!). Perhaps better wording would have been I have no interest. I'd prefer a couple of leisurely pints over a couple of hours in a beer garden.

I like a good cabernet sauvignon, especially the £3.59 one in Tesco. Pour a third of a bottle then top up with own brand cola. Jobs a good ‘un.
